Important information regarding school lunches

Dear Parent/Carer,

Re. Changes to our Lunch System starting in September 2020.

During the initial return to school in September we will not be operating our normal lunch system.

The plan is that each Year Group will be either separately visiting the canteen in order to collect a pre-paid Chilled Pack Lunch Grab Bag or having their lunch delivered to their classroom. If you do not wish for your child to have a school cold packed lunch, please ensure they bring their own packed lunch each day. There will not be any hot food available.

Paying online via ParentPay We will be providing the option for your child to order/book & purchase a Chilled Packed Lunch at a cost of £2.50 a day. The Grab Bag includes a Main, a Dessert, a piece of Fruit & a Small Bottle of Water. There is a Vegetarian option available.

Please confirm by logging into ParentPay to order/book & pay if you would like your child to have a Chilled Packed Lunch in school at least 24 hours prior to the day that your child will be in school.

Paying via PayPoint
For those parents unable to pay online & usually pay via PayPoint, please note a new/different barcode will be required, please do not use your usual lunch barcode to pay. Please request this barcode by emailing & stating your child full name.

You will also need to email if a Vegetarian option is required. Please make payment at least 3 days before a lunch is required & once paid for, always pass the receipt to your child to show as proof of purchase.

FSM Students
All students who are eligible for Free School Meals will have to request a school lunch & if a Vegetarian option is required you will need to email to request this, 24 hours in advance.

Packed Lunch from Home
If a Chilled Packed Lunch has not been paid for & booked/ordered then please ensure your child brings their own lunch (clearly labelled) with a water bottle. Unfortunately, there will not be a lunch available for your child forgets their lunch & if a payment hasn’t been made in advance.

These are interim arrangements to support the initial return to school and will be under review in the early Autumn term. We will notify you as soon as possible of any changes.
