We are a Voluntary Aided Church of England School in Enfield, North London within easy access of the M25.  The School operates a pastoral House system, and has a strong Christian ethos which you would also be expected to support. Bishop Stopford’s Church of England School is looking for a Data and Exams Assistant to join a friendly and supportive department in September 2017.  We require a highly accurate and proactive individual to assist the Data and Exams Manager in all aspects of the examination and data requirements across the school. This role requires someone who has a high level of attention to detail.

Hours: 30 hours per week x 39 weeks per annum

Salary: Scale 4 point 18, 30 hour x 39 week position’s actual pay per annum is £14,191.77.

D&T/Art Technician – September 2017

Bishop Stopford’s School is seeking to appoint a D&T/Art Technician from September 2017 to support teachers in a technology workshop/art classroom setting.  The postholder will assist staff and students in a range of activities including classes, workshops, demonstrations, coordinating resources and preparing for examinations.  The successful candidate will have knowledge and skills of working with wood and metals and will be responsible for ensuring that the design technology/art rooms and equipment are kept clean and tidy and that all safety regulations are abided by, including checking equipment for safety.

Hours: 15 hours per week (set times to be agreed) x 39 weeks per annum
Salary: Scale 3, Point 14, £18,657 per annum – actual salary £6,647

School Business Manager required September 2017

Permanent, SM2, Salary Range £43,815 – £46,608, 36 hours a week, 52 weeks per annum

Bishop Stopford’s School is seeking to appoint an inspirational School Business Manager with HR experience to lead in Finance, HR, Health and Safety, ICT and Premises.  The successful candidate will provide strategic development across these areas and will manage the operational and facilities aspects of the school.

We are looking for a colleague with drive, confidence and intuition.  This is a key position in our school and a positive and flexible approach is essential, alongside the ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • School Business Manager/HR qualification or equivalent
  • Proven knowledge of finance leadership, including planning, forecasting, budget setting and statutory reporting
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
  • Knowledge of dealing with employment legislation in order to advise the Headteacher on all employment matters
  • Skills and ability to work with ICT based management and financial information systems
  • Experience on leading Health and Safety and Premises/Facilities management
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, record keeping and ICT skills.
