Our Facilities

The original buildings of our School date back to the 1960s, but have since been extensively modernised.  We completed a £10 million new build project in 2009 that increased the size of the School and our range of facilities extensively. We now offer a large campus which includes interactive whiteboard  equipped classrooms classrooms, 7 dedicated ICT suites, separate Science and Technology blocks, extensive sports facilities, an Assembly Hall, Chapel and a new dining hall.

ICT

The whole school is networked for ICT. Students have open access to computers, the school Intranet and Internet. We have 7 ICT suites as well as 2 Study Rooms in the Sixth Form. All suites are air-conditioned. Additionally, we have laptop trolleys with wireless access in many of our rooms. One of the suites is a specialist Music Technology Room containing the latest Apple Mac computers where students are able to produce their own music.

Science and Technology

480The Science Block contains 12 teaching labs offering modern equipment for Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Hall and Chapel

Our chapel has recently been renovated and we are very grateful to the Greig Trusts for their generosity in supporting the recent renovations of the hall and chapel.

The assembly hall is used for School productions and events and uniquely we are very lucky to have a large pipe organ that was recovered from a church in Morecambe and used for recitals.
