Behaviour For Learning

Our school has high expectations of behaviour based on respect, Christian values and good citizenship. The promotion of good behaviour is a shared responsibility and we are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to maximise all students progress and good behaviour.

Stopfordian Ethos

Students at Bishop Stopford’s School recognise the role they play in their own success. They are committed to the ethos that we promote and by living each day with our core values in mind achieve beyond expectations.

Stopfordian Values: Strive for Five

Respectful
Considerate
Successful
Responsible
Loyal

Encouragement, praise and rewards are essential to embedding the high expectations we have for our students at at Bishop Stopford’s School. Praise is underpinned by our merits system. Merits are awarded for students’ academic progress and contributions to our school’s ethos and everyday life. We believe at our school that everything we do impacts on others and that our success leads to successes of all.

This policy covers The Stopfordian Ethos, our Merit System, managing unsatisfactory behaviour and the expected behaviour for learning.

‘the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body’
