Our Curriculum Offer
Key Stage 3 – Year 7, 8 and 9.
Our current curriculum model maintains a breadth of subjects for all pupils until the end of Year 9, it goes beyond the core national curriculum including drama and engineering to expose students to as many new experiences as possible. We deliver technology subjects on a carousel to enable access to specialist teachers and resources and to provide students with a breadth of technological knowledge as they journey through Key Stage 3

Key Stage 4 – Year 10 and 11
At Key Stage 4 we have a broad curriculum of both traditional facilitating GCSE subjects alongside a more diverse set of vocational courses. This ensures our students are able to choose both the subject and the style of learning that best suits them. We require all students to study at least 1 facilitating subject (French, Geography or History) to maintain their curriculum breadth as they move into KS4 and leave doorways open for post 16 study. We actively encourage students to pursue the EBAC pathway recognizing that this too can support students in their educational and working future. Students who speak a community language at home are encouraged to gain a GCSE qualification in this alongside their taught curriculum and we encourage entries for GCSE Arabic, Bengali, Greek, Italian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Urdu.
In order to provide students with a breadth of courses to study and also enable them to progress onto their choice of pathways as they move onto Key Stage 5 and beyond, we provide a hybrid of both vocational and academic subjects at Key Stage 4. These include:
- GCSE’s in Drama, French, Geography, History, Music and Sociology.
- Vocational courses in Art& Design, Enterprise, Health & Fitness, Media, Hospitality & Catering and Engineering.
