Year 6 into Year 7 Transition Evening

I would like to welcome you and your son/daughter to our Year 6 into Year 7 Transition Evening on Thursday 27th April 2017, from 5pm to 6pm.  I look forward to meeting with you, and working in partnership to ensure your child’s time with us is a successful and positive experience.

The evening will be an opportunity for you to meet the Senior Leadership Team and the Head of Year who will be looking after your child prior to joining the Stopfordian family in September.

I look forward to meeting you and your son/daughter and hope that your association with the school will be a long and happy one.

Yr10 Football Borough Cup Finalists

Yr10 Borough Final 2017The Year 10 Football Team were the first team in recent history to make it to a Borough Cup Final after a fantastic run beating some good schools on the way. The final was against Enfield Grammar school and the team did extremely well but were beaten 4-2 in a very competitive game. The boys were a credit to their school and very gracious in defeat knowing they had put everything into the game. They should be very proud of their achievement.

Emotional Wellbeing

PrintAs you are probably aware from items on the news the government have announced plans to make improving mental health a priority.

The charity Young minds reports that there are 850,000 children who have mental health problems and that there are three children in every classroom who have a diagnosable mental health disorder.

Year 10 Enfield Basketball Champions

sports1The Year 10 Basketball team continued their amazing unbeaten run by winning the Year 10 Borough Competition to go with their wins in Year 8 and Year 9. They Won all of their 6 group games with efficiency, teamwork and incredible skill and this put them in the Final against Edmonton County. The group game between the two was a very close affair with the Final continuing in the same way until 3 consecutive 3 points gave Bishops a healthy lead which never came under threat.
