More information on enrolment for applications for September, 2024 will be published on this website in due course. All applications for September, 2024 are to be submitted by 31st October, 2023.

We are delighted that you are considering our school for your child.
We are a Church of England Secondary school that welcomes children and families of all faiths and none.

How many places are available?

The maximum number of children to be admitted to the school annually is 186.

How do I apply?

We are part of co-ordinated admissions, which means you apply for a place at our school via your Local Authority. Enfield Local Authority allows you to make up to six preferences via their e-admissions system.

For 2024 applications, the deadline for making an on time application is 31st October 2023.

In addition to our open/community places, we offer a number of faith/foundation places.

If you would like to apply for a faith/foundation place at Bishop Stopford’s School, up to a maximum of 93 places, you MUST ALSO fill in our Supplementary Information Form and get this form signed by your vicar, pastor, rector, priest etc and return it to our school by 30th October 2023.

What is your oversubscription criteria?

If we receive more applications than there are places available applications will be prioritised according to the following oversubscription criteria:-

1. Applicants who are looked after, or were previously looked after and have been adopted. (Written evidence must be supplied, at the time of application.)

2. Applicants who are designated as carers and for whom this is the nearest suitable school. (Written evidence should be supplied, at the time of application, from the relevant LA.)

3. Applicants who currently have or have had siblings at the school

The remaining places will be divided 50/50 between Foundation and Open places. Please see our Admissions Policy for further information.
