Mental Health Champions

Mental Health Champions

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and the focus is Loneliness. Together we can tackle loneliness. One in four adults feel lonely some or all the time. There is no single cause and there is no one solution. But the longer we feel lonely, the more we are at risk of mental health problems. Some people are also at risk of feeling lonelier than others.

Mental Health Awareness week is all about raising awareness of the impact of loneliness on our mental health and the practical steps we can take to address it.

Mental Health Champions

Some of our Year 8 and 7 students have been trained up to be Mental Health Champions. The first thing they were taught was to look after their own mental health first. These students are learning about ways to promote mental health and support others.  This week they will be delivering the assembly either narrated or live, which they have planned themselves.
