Trips for Languages Students
Having recently achieved Foundation status as an International School, we believe very strongly that pupils can only truly understand the culture of a country if they have visited it. For this reason we endeavour to offer every pupil in every year group the opportunity to take part in a foreign trip each year, should they wish to.
This year we are going to Berlin and Cologne again:
6th – 9th December we will visit Cologne Cathedral and the city’s chocolate museum, explore the Christmas markets and go to the Phantasialand theme park.
29th November – 2nd December: this trip is for students studying German A Level and we will visit sights relevant to their studies in the day and explore Berlin by night.
|Trips in 2010:|
|On Wednesday 15th December, Miss Phillips and Mr Rhodes drove a group of year 11 students to Birmingham for the day to visit the German Christmas markets in the city as a reward for their extremely hard work on their GCSE course throughout the term.|
|Just before the Christmas break, Miss Phillips, Mrs Melhuish, Miss Hewitt, Mr Fenwick and Mr Rhodes took a group of 36 year 7 pupils to Cologne in Germany to experience the city’s famous Christmas markets.
