Careers, pathways and exam information evening Thursday 1st November 2018
We would like to invite you to our careers, pathways and exam information evening which is taking place on Thursday 1st November. The evening will run from 5.30pm until 7pm, with a formal talk from our Head of Curriculum taking place at 6.30pm. This evening is an opportunity for you and your child to look at the pathways and post 16 options available both in Bishop Stopford’s School and in the local area. The evening is designed to provide both you and our Year 11 students with information and guidance on their chosen career path and to consider the next phase of their educational journey.
There will also be the opportunity for yourself and your child to sample popular sixth form lessons in Maths, Engineering and Science. You will receive a full prospectus outlining all of the pathways and subjects that are on offer within the school 6th form and will be able to speak to specialists in a range of subject areas including Psychology, Criminology, Business, Economics, History and Drama about the courses, entry requirements and information on what your child would need to do to obtain the required grades to go onto study this course at Key Stage 5.
With trial exams commencing for Year 11 students on Monday 12th November, the evening will also provide you and your child with valuable information on how to prepare for this important time in their educational career. As well as providing information on the exam schedule, you will be given advice and guidance on revision techniques and how best to maximise success in the upcoming trial exams.
We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday.
