Bishop Stopford’s Golden Jubilee Celebration – Founders’ Day 2018

22nd June 2018

Dear Parent / Carer,

Bishop Stopford’s Golden Jubilee Celebration – Founders’ Day 2018

On Thursday 5th July 2018, our school will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee with the Founders’ Day service and celebrations. This will be a whole school event.

We will be welcoming many dignitaries, past senior teachers, governors, the Mayor of Enfield and the Bishop of London, Dame Sarah Mullally, to our school for the day. This will be the new Bishop of London’s first formal educational event and it is a great honour that our school has been selected for the occasion.

The school day will run as normal between 8.30am and 3.15pm, but with some special celebration activities throughout the day.

Pupils will only need their books for lessons 1 and 2.  For this occasion, it is essential that all pupils are correctly dressed in school uniform. Please check the guidelines on the reverse of this letter.

During the day we will be thanking God for the life of our school and The Bishop of London, Dame Sarah Mullally, will be leading the annual Founders Day service.

Pupils will also be given a free school lunch and birthday cake as part of the festivities. The day will then conclude with a series of celebration games and events on the school field before dismissal at 3.15pm.

If you have any questions concerning this event, please contact your child’s Head of Year or our Senior Assistant Head Teacher, Mr Seabrook.

We are hoping this will be a great celebration of the past 50 years. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved and look forward to another fifty years of success with God’s blessing.

Warmest wishes and many thanks for your ongoing support.

Mrs T Day, BA (Hons), NPQH
